Homegoing Celebration For Ms. Elizabeth R. Albert

Ms. Elizabeth R. Albert was born on June 15, 1946 to the late Mr. Judge and Ms. Odie Bell Usher in Henry County, McDonough. God called her home on Monday, September 23, 2013 at Abbey Hospice in Social Circle.

Ms. Albert joined Kelley Chapel Baptist Church at an early age, where she served faithfully in the choir and as a member until her health began to fail. She enjoyed life, love and laughter to the fullest. She loved her family and friends diligently; there was nothing she wouldn’t do for them.

She worked for Rockdale County Board of Education Transportation Department for eleven years as a bus monitor, doing what she loved — caring for others.

Ms. Albert was preceded in death by one son, Mr. Shedrick Albert, one brother and three sisters.

Ms. Albert leaves, to cherish her memories and life, her seven children, Mr. and Mrs. Kennedy (Valerie) Gaither, Mr. and Mrs. Michael (Malissia) Belcher, Mr. Eddie L. Albert Jr., Mr. Eric Albert, Ms. Erica Albert, Mr. and Mrs. Reginald (Shawn) Bell, Ms. Sheteala Albert and Mrs. Moneeck Thomas; sixteen grandchildren, Nicole Anderson, Shanecia Hughey, Latreka Woods, Kennerious Gaither, William Gotel, Eric Albert Jr., Letice Albert, Breonna Bell, D’Angelo Gaither, Christopher Dowdell, Jeremiah Albert, Jaden Albert, Reginald Bell Jr., Ereonna Gay, Rashawn Bell and Tahiry Lester; five great-grandchildren; six brothers and two sisters, Mr. Willie Usher, Ms. Elouise Walker, Mr. and Mrs. Hope (Bertha) Usher, Mr. and Mrs. Walter (Kathleen) Usher, Mr. and Mrs. Joe (Geraldine) Usher, Mr. Daniel C. Usher, Mr. and Mrs. Paul (Catherine) Usher and Ms. Catherine Henderson, godsister, Mrs. Emma Lett, sister-in-law, Mrs. Ida Usher, great aunt, Ms. Annie Mae George and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers for the funeral services held Sept. 28 were co-workers, cousins and friends, and flower ladies were co-workers, cousins and friends.
