Women's Wellness health fair June 22

The public is invited to the second annual Women’s Wellness Community Service Event, hosted by State Representative Pam Dickerson (D-Conyers), on Saturday, June 22, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Salem High School, 3551 Underwood Road, Conyers.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will provide health screenings for breast cancer, blood pressure, HPV, lipid and glucose levels, and more.

Dickerson said, "There's so many women who have no access to healthcare or very little access to healthcare. I thought this would be a good way to reach out to the community and by partnering with the hospitals and doctors, it's a way to give back."

Doctors who will be at the event are Dr. Rogsbert Phillips-Reed, a surgical oncology specialist, Dr. Yara Robertson, a surgical oncology specialist, Dr. Aisha Redmond, a OB/GYN physician, and Dr. Gayla Dillard, an internal medical physician and Chief of Surgery at Rockdale Medical Center.

A mental health specialist will also be available as well.

Partners include Rockdale Medical Center, Newton Medical Center, the Gwinnett/Rockdale/Newton county health departments, Kaiser Permanente and Comcast.
