Dear Editor: My husband and I recently and reluctantly started a new subscription to your newspaper. Our first paper was received on Sunday, Oct. 19. When I read your editorial “Our thoughts…Misplaced priorities” it was like a reaffirming nod that this subscription was a good thing.
 As a mother, grandmother and retired educator, it was so refreshing to see someone not being afraid to say what needed to be said. Thanks for expressing the feelings of many. And, shame on those parents and school employees.
