Young artists work showcased at library

Want to see the next Pollock, Ansel Adams or Damien Hirst? You might spot an artist as a young child or teenager at the True Colours Youth Art Exhibit between March 1–28 at the Newton County Library.

“Teachers selected 10 pieces of art from every school in Newton County so children – 12 participate,” arts association program director Abigail Coggin said.

When Newton County’s Arts Association and Newton County Schools created the exhibit last year, students used unusual materials, like a sculpture made of packing tape.
