Alcovy was the best team in Region 2-AAAAAA this season, claiming the region title, and it showed in post-season recognition Thursday.

The league's coaches named its All-Region team with the Tigers leading the way.

Alcovy had four members on the first team and three on the second team.

Chelsea Murphy was the only pitcher named to the All-Region team, and Marie Peck was named top designated player.
Infielders Kalia Johnson and Kia Sorrells joined Peck and Murphy on the first team.

Making the second team were catcher Morgan Beshears and infielders Morgan Mobley and Waneshia Morris.

Druid Hills and Rockdale each had four players on the All-Region team, with the Bulldogs putting three on the first team, and Druid Hills two.

Druid Hills Demaya Davis was named first-team catcher, Luella's Alexia Boggess and India Davis finished out the infield and Rockdale's Candace Johnson and Breanna Richardson and Druid Hills' Kayla Cato made up the All-Region first-team outfield.
