Continuance requested in child exploitation case

An attorney for Andrew Patrick Harper, charged with 15 counts of sexual exploitation of children, has asked for a continuance in the case, which was on the trial calendar for Newton County Superior Court Judge Horace Johnson during the week of Oct. 8.

The charges against Harper, 22, stem from his April, 2011 arrest.

In court paperwork, it states that Harper "did knowingly and willingly possess and control a video identified as:" and then lists several different video titles, such as "12 yo girls raped by Daddy." In total, there are seven different video titles in the paperwork, as well as alleged pictures of children, ages 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 9 years old.

Harper is represented by Brian K. Ross and Assistant District Attorney's Peter H. Boehm and Agatha Romanowski will prosecute the case.
