Flanagan edges out Schulz in online poll

Tony Flanagan, the Democratic challenger in the District 3 Newton County Board of Commissioners race, edged out Democratic incumbent Nancy Schulz in The News' online poll.

Flanagan captured 114 votes (52 percent) to Schulz's 104 votes (48 percent). Poll results are completely unscientific.

Next up in the poll is the crowded Republican race for the vacant District 5 Board of Commissioners seat between Ronnie Dimsdale, Wesley Dowdy, Levie Maddox and Jared Rutberg.
