Church mentor sentenced to life in prison

LAWRENCEVILLE (AP) - A former church youth leader has been sentenced to life in prison after prosecutors say he posed as a girl on MySpace to find boys to molest.

Gwinnett Superior Court Judge Timothy Hamil ordered a life sentence for 29-year-old Antoine Johnson for molesting two boys ages 13 and 14 and attempting to lure a third child in 2008.

The Gwinnett Daily Post reports (http://bit.ly/M8J1nZ) that Johnson is a former intern and summer camp organizer at a church in Dacula, northeast of Atlanta.

Johnson had testified that he created a fictitious online identity on MySpace using a photo from a real account in Texas.

The judge called his scheme "absolutely diabolical." The evidence included a taped interview, in which Johnson mimics the falsetto voice he used as "Kristen" while talking to boys.
