ATLANTA (AP) — Gov. Nathan Deal will lead a delegation of Georgia officials to Turkey to explore trade opportunities.

Deal said Thursday Georgia has been named one of six U.S. states with which Turkey wants to increase trade.

State officials will hold "Discover Georgia" presentations in Istanbul and Mersin. The delegation is also scheduled to meet Turkish officials in the Investment Support and Promotion Agency of Turkey.

State officials will visit the Mersin International Seaport, a transportation hub for products moving throughout Turkey and the Middle East.

The delegation includes Chris Cummiskey, commissioner of the Department of Economic Development, Secretary of State Brian Kemp, Secretary of Agriculture Gary Black and the heads of the university and technical college systems.

The trip is scheduled for May 28 to June 1.
