Sawyer Jr. to speak on black history Sunday

Forrest Sawyer, Jr., president of the Newton County African-American Historical Society, will speak about the role of black women in American culture and history at 11 a.m. Sunday at Murray CME Church.

Murray CME, located at the intersection of West and Stone Mountain streets, is headed by Rev. Horace Head.
