Three Oxford students robbed at gunpoint

Authorities are searching for two masked men who reportedly robbed three Oxford College students at gunpoint on campus early Thursday morning.

The students were walking on campus around 12:18 a.m. when, according to them, they were approached by two black males wearing "covers over their faces." The masked men pointed a gun at the students and demanded their property, according to Newton County Sheriff's Lt. Keith Crum. They made off with cell phones, a hat and a wallet.

The two suspects fled on foot towards the Oxford College Apartments, which are southeast from the campus. The victims contacted the Emory Police who notified NCSO. Although they combed the area, no suspects have been found as of press time.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the NCSO at (678) 625-5007 or online at www.newtonsheriffga.org. All tips can be given anonymously.
