Dec. 13 Covington City Council agenda

 

Because of the Christmas holiday, the Covington City Council will have its second monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday at City Hall.

As always, the meeting will be preceeded by a work session at 5:30 p.m., where the council runs through the agenda in preparation for the official meeting. See the agenda below:

1. Call to order.

2. Discussion of the minutes from the Regular Council Meeting held on December 5, 2011.

3. Discussion of the final reading of an ordinance for the City of Covington:

"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COVINGTON, GEORGIA, TO AMEND THE COVINGTON MUNICIPAL CODE, ENACTED AND ADOPTED ON THE 16TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 2001, AS AMENDED BY PREVIOUS AMENDMENTS, TO ALTER CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF SECTION 5.12.040 OF THE SAID CODE RELATING TO HOURS OF OPERATIONS FOR RETAIL SALES OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES, TO REPEAL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES."

4. Discussion of the final reading of an ordinance for the City of Covington:

"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COVINGTON, GEORGIA, TO AMEND THE COVINGTON MUNICIPAL CODE, ENACTED AND ADOPTED ON THE 16TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 2001, AS AMENDED BY PREVIOUS AMENDMENTS, TO ALTER CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF SECTION 3.16.110 OF THE SAID CODE RELATING TO DISBURSEMENT OF PROCEEDS FROM LODGING TAX COLLECTION, TO REPEAL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES."
