Dally wins crowded Social Circe mayor race

Social Circle has a new mayor in town. With 52 percent of the votes, Hal Dally will step in as mayor.

Dally received 427 votes, followed by Barron B. Steward with 187, Hosea Jackson with 112 and Joel Biggs with 90.

City council post 4 will be held by Steve Shelton who received 53 percent of the vote. Crenan Mills received 46.93 percent - 107 votes to Shelton's 121. City council post 2 went to Angela Porter who was the unopposed incumbent.

School board post 3 was taken by John M. Callahan with 50.75 percent of the vote. Robbie Groves received 85 votes and Alan Howard Sr. received 80. School board post 1 winner is Larry Cross with 118 or 97 percent of the vote. He was unopposed.
