It’s Harvest Picking time at the Old Church



The sounds of twang and  bluegrass will return to the Old Church in Oxford Saturday during the second annual Harvest Picking celebration.

This event, provided by Newton Trails, will feature local musicians and food in a fun, family-friendly atmosphere.

Food will be served at 5 p.m., and the performances will begin at 6 p.m.

Musical guests include traveling storyteller and singer-songwriter Andy Offutt Irwin, Dan and Perri Walden performing Appalachian music as The New Georgia Railroad and Johnny Roquemore and the Apostles of Bluegrass will wrap up the evening. 

There will also be two prize packs up for auction with prizes provided by local businesses.

Admission costs $10 per person or $25 per family. The buffet, provided  by Burrito Loco, will cost $8 per person.

The Old Church is located  off Fletcher Street in Oxford.
