Braves players record anti-bullying messages

ATLANTA (AP) - The Atlanta Braves have joined the Anti-Defamation League in a bullying prevention campaign.

As part of the No Place for Hate campaign, Braves president John Schuerholz this week unveiled a series of anti-bullying public service announcements. The spots feature baseball players Chipper Jones, Tim Hudson, Brian McCann and Jason Heyward.

The messages are in English and Spanish and will be distributed to the more than 100 metro Atlanta schools that participate in the bullying prevention initiative. They are also set to play on the Turner Field Jumbotron during baseball season.

Anti-Defamation League southeast regional director Bill Nigut says the Braves players messages will have a profound impact on kids who look up to them.
