Social Circle fair runs through Sept. 10

The Social Circle fair has returned to town.

Going on now through Sept. 10, the fair is the largest fundraiser for the Social Circle Rotary Club. It features traditional fair rides, such as bumper cars and a Ferris wheel, along with several kid-friendly rides. There are typically about 25 rides set up in addition to booths selling a plethora of food and games.

The fair is being held on the grounds of the middle/high school and opens at 6 p.m. every day except for Saturday, when it opens at 3 p.m. There are daily helicopter and pony rides Friday and Saturday and free Georgia Child Identification registration Friday.

Admission is $1 at the gate (children under 1 are free), and a one-day pass wristband is $20 at the door and allows for unlimited carnival riding.

The rides and attractions are provided by McNair Amusements.
