A fire on the roof of the visitor's center in Social Circle has been put out and power in that area has been restored.

The center, which is located on East Hightower, sustained damage to the roof and water damage when firefighters were dousing the flames, the cause of the fire is still unknown.

Documents housed in the visitor's center are currently being moved to keep them from sustaining water damage.
