Bank robbed in Social Circle

$5,000 reward offered


Pinnacle Bank in Social Circle was robbed today around 9:45 a.m. today and authorities are asking for the public's help in identifying the man responsible.

According to Lt. Ford of the Social Circle Department of Public Safety, the armed robbery occurred with no injuries to any of the bank's patrons or workers.

Georgia Bureau of Investigation spokesperson John Bankhead said the man handed the teller a note demanding money. He made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The man is described as a slender black male in his mid-20s, roughly 6-feet tall. A $5,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
