Bulldog Tire Company celebrates 35years

/

COVINGTON, Ga. - Bulldog Tire Company has been providing quality automotive services to the Newton County community for 35 years.

Bulldog Tire is a family-owned and operated business. Owner Tommy Coker and his partner, Ronnie Ward started the auto shop in April 1982, in Covington, GA. Bulldog Tire has two other locations in Monroe and Snellville. Tim Brooks and Tommy Banks are the managers at Bulldog Tire and Coker’s daughter, Gina Brooks works there too as the supervisor.

Bulldog Tire provides an extensive range of automobile services to choose from, making them a top choice for Newton County residents. This includes oil changes, tune-ups, brakes, A/C service, wheel alignment, transmission service and more.

Bulldog Tire also sells tires from quality brands such as MICHELIN, BFGoodrich, Uniroyal and Cooper and private brand products as well. Road hazard warranty on tires is available also.

Bulldog Tire is proud to be a part of the Covington community.

“What we like best is the business community is very diverse in Covington,” Brooks said. The town has evolved over the years from a small farm town to a growing city with job opportunities. We work with other businesses to provide automobile services to the community.”

What makes Bulldog Tire stand out is its commitment to offering the best service. For example, when staff performs an oil change, they also do a thorough inspection of the car.

“In addition to changing oil, our staff checks the filters, fluid levels and the air in tires,” Brooks said.

When customers arrive, they can expect a friendly and relaxing environment while they wait.

“We have rocking chairs, coffee and water, TV, popcorn and toys for the kids. We try every day to be friendly and welcoming to our customers and build relationships,” Brooks said.

The success of the company rests in this simple principle: “We listen to our customers’ needs and make sure they receive quality service. If we make a mistake, we own up to it and try to make it right,” Brooks said.

In recent years, Bulldog Tire has worked to improve its services and features for customers.

“We are growing on social media and we have a digital media board that features car safety tips and other informative content. Customers can sign up for reminders, so when they have an oil change for example, we can send a note that reminds them,” Brooks said.

Reaching the milestone of 35 years, Bulldog Tire has become a favorite auto shop in the community. Bulldog Tire hopes to keep providing quality automotive services and continue to nurture existing relationships in the community.

Bulldog Tire is located on 4108 North Elm St. and is open from Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. and on Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.
