Social Circle applies for grant

City council members in Social Circle want the city to apply for a grant that would allow the city to provide sewer and water service to 24 homes in the Mill Village.

City Manager Doug White told the council that the city was applying for a CDBG Grant and recommended that the city match $50,000 from general fund reserves, which would give the city "more points and a better chance for funding."
The council agreed unanimously.

Additionally the council unanimously agreed to name the second half of the bypass which has yet to be built, the Martin Luther King Jr. Bypass.
