Together again: Former and current Porterdale residents came together Saturday for the eighth annual Porterdale Reunion. Old photos and other memorabilia were on display, and residents and guests alike poured over them sharing stories. Copies of "Diary of a Cotton Mill Girl," written by Lucy Ivey Shaw, were available to buy, as were engraved bricks. There was also a bake sale, hosted by the Porterdale Woman’s Club and a silent auction. Proceeds from all the sales will go toward renovating the Porterdale gym.
