Open for business

The new Oxford City Hall officially opened its doors at 3 p.m. today.

 

Mayor Jerry Roseberry cut the ribbon, saying “this building is dedicated to all Oxford citizens – past and present.”

 

He then urged citizens to come into the air-conditioned building and “get something cold to drink.”

 

The $1.6 million building will also house a community room and the Oxford Police Department.
