Ride to provide: The Porterdale Police Department held a motorcycle ride on Saturday to benefit the families of fallen police officers. Donations from the day’s ride went to the family of Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Brian Lamar Mahaffey, who died on Saturday, May 8 when he was shot and killed while trying to serve a warrant. More than 100 motorcycles participated in the ride.
