Willie Lee “Will” Bell

Willie Lee "Will" Bell died Jan. 20. The son of Mrs. Edna Durden Bell and the late Mr. Willie Thomas Bell, he was born in 1952 in Covington, the fourth of six children. He was preceded in death by brother Nathaniel Bell. Mr Bell attended R. L. Cousins High School and was employed by Bibb Manufacturing until his injury. At an early age, Mr. Bell joined the family church, Union Grove United Methodist Church. He was very outspoken with a friendly, outgoing personality. Mr. Bell had a kind heart and joyful spirit that kept his family and friends laughing. He was always neat and in his spare time enjoyed listening to music and the TV news, detailing cars and socializing with his friends. Family and friends were very important to him, and he was especially devoted to his mother.

Surviving are mother Mrs. Edna Bell; daughter Shamika Baker; grandson Javonta; sisters Mr. and Mrs. Charlie (Susie) Williams, Mr. and Mrs. Barry (Rosie) Jordan, Mr. and Mrs. Charles (Clara) Jordan, all of Covington; brothers Mr. Thomas Bell of Atlanta, Mr. Tommy Shy, Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy (Wanda) Shy, both of Covington; aunts Mrs. Helen Williams of Gainesville, Fla., Mrs. Jeanette Perry of Covington; devoted friends the Rev. James Nolley and Ms. Connie White, both of Covington; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and dear friends.

Funeral services were held Jan. 25 at Union Grove United Methodist Church with Pastor Kenneth Norrington, Pastor Kenneth William, Pastor Theodis Bell Jr. and Pastor Lamar Bell officiating. Interment followed in Graves Cemetery.
